The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks certain of the more advanced features found in its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features such as an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the click of one button. You can select a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or go for two detailed maps of your home to ensure your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can take in large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some other models, and it can even pick up pet hair without much difficulty. It's not able to work with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot promises that the next models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common, but we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features a superior filtration system which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think it's a nice claim however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your whole home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as efficient as those found on more expensive models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's an affordable price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you've got the most dirt.

As for the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to scrub off hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls, and move on when it encounters one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background and washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only inform you if something is wrong, such as low water levels or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to an empty bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo handles your home. This is an excellent feature if you have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or if there's a lot of clutter that must be cleaned out frequently, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, taking debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even clean up spills that are wet but I would suggest wiping them dry with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you could want. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a sensor system that can detect obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The most notable improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has faster battery charging and can handle a full cleaning of around 1,500 square feet in one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris which makes it easier to empty it when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even when you're at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the top robot for mopping. Its mop pads that rotate scrub away tough stains, and its motor creates lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well and it enhances suction when it senses carpets to ensure that it does the job well. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as powerful as anything we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop that comes with a range of convenience features you do not often find on robots of this price range. It can create detailed floor maps and detect various flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are useful however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury, which might make it a little more expensive than what some homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a website modern floor cleaner. It is tall and slim, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that is a switch for on and off. This button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and transmit it back to its base station. The central control panel is an oblique menu that lets you choose cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open the app's settings menu where you can tweak how the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for families with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
